Located beside the banks of the Canal du Midi, the Hotel Le terminus enjoys a peaceful location in a charming part of town. Not only is the train station literally just round the corner but the nearby local cafes and restaurants are also right on your doorstep. The picture perfect medieval town of Carcassonne is a short walk away and the squares and narrow streets of the old town beckon with quaint restaurants and local bars.

The “Belle époque” façade of this hotel highlights the fact that this is an elegant lady of a hotel with over 100 years of architectural character and charm oozing from within. On entering, the impressive lobby wows with its high and ornately decorated ceilings, typical of the period. The opulent staircase is listed (by the Beaux Arts) and majestically sweeps up to the three floors above. This is the heart of the hotel and is a perfect for relaxing with a coffee or in the evenings enjoying an aperitif. It also contains a grand piano and a pool table.

Also on the ground floor you can find the Bistro style restaurant/ bar which serves up excellent French cuisine from the region and where an extensive buffet breakfast is served daily. The swimming pool, sauna and Jacuzzi are a veritable haven of tranquillity tucked away on the lower ground floor and well worth a visit after a long day exploring all the sights that the town has to offer.

The 108 comfortable rooms are all located over the 3 floors which are accessed by a lift and have possible internet access (payable). Whilst some are reminiscent of the Belle époque period in their décor and furnishings, others are more contemporary and some rooms may have a Juliette or classical balcony. All rooms enjoys views of the town and some have views of the medieval city, park or Canal du Midi. The hotel offers an excellent concierge service at its 24 hour reception and can organise private parking in its onsite garage as well as mountain bike rental (both payable and subject to availability).

The town centre is only a short walk away and boasts two UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Besides the beautiful and scenic Canal du Midi there is also the truly stunning, fortified Medieval City and a wander through the intimate cobbled alleyways of the lower town and medieval city, lined with bars and restaurants, will lead you to discover the towns many cultural, historical and gastronomical delights.

The Belle Epoque style or contemporary rooms at Hotel Le Terminus are located over 3 floors. All the rooms have satellite TV, Wi-Fi access (payable), mini-bar, tea/coffee making facilities, safe, direct dial telephone, air conditioning and a bathroom with either bath or shower, hair dryer and WC. Some rooms have a Juliette or classical balcony and overlook the Medieval City, the Canal du Midi or the park.

Standard double Room sleeps 2 (ca. 25m2): Double bed with ensuite bathroom & separate WC and a balcony.

Superior Double or Twin Room sleeps 2 (ca. 25m2): Twin beds with ensuite bathroom & separate WC and a balcony. These rooms overlook the Medieval City, the Canal du Midi or the park.

Suite sleeps 2/3 (ca. 30m2): Double bed and single bed or three single beds with ensuite bathroom & separate WC. Overlooking the Canal du Midi or Park.
