This modern small hotel residence in the centre of Ax les Thermes is a haven for those looking for rest and relaxation after a day on the nearby slopes of Ax 3 Domaines.  It has an excellent central location and is also beside the babbling Oriege River that runs through the centre of the charming spa village of Ax les Thermes. With such a central location, all the amenities and restaurants and bars are on your doorstep whilst the gondola is literally a stone’s throw away.

Located in an original building on the main square of Ax les Thermes, it would have witnessed the rise of this small spa town close to the Spanish and Andorran border back in the 1900s. Today the village still thrives on the acclaim of the beautiful “Bains de Couloubret” thermal spa and the famous Baroque casino located opposite but also now attracts with connection to the area of Ax 3 Domaines  as well as offering on site curative spa treatments in its own thermal water pool.

The small 24 hour reception lobby bar has a hot drinks vending machines whilst the reading and TV room is an ideal place to enjoy live sporting events or relax with a book. There is a self-service payable laundry and ironing room. There is no onsite parking but there is free municipal public parking behind the church or casino opposite.

The small 53 apartment hotel residence is spread over five floors and has lift access with views of the village, casino or mountains. It has a fresh and minimalist design whilst the décor throughout is based on the warm tones of brown, mauve and white. The bright and airy open plan studios and apartments have extensive hotel-style services included such as 24 hour reception, towels and bed linen included and beds made on arrival make this an easy option.

Guests have free access to the excellent onsite spa and fitness area which comprises a heated indoor pool, sauna, steam room, two Jacuzzis and a small gym with two exercise bikes and a stepper. You can even pamper yourself with a massage at the onsite curative thermal spa centre. Just opposite is the famous “Bains de Couloubret” where the thermal spa centre and a range of treatments using its natural spa awaits. A session in the indoor and outdoor thermal heated thermal pools with its massage jets is an excellent cure for the weariest of holiday makers.

Each of the modern and fresh apartments has a parquet floor, a balcony, a flat-screen TV and direct dial telephone.  The small kitchenettes have a small fridge/freezer, 2 ring ceramic hob and a coffee –maker. Kettles and toasters are on loan at reception. Shower room with heated towel rail, hairdryer and bath robes.

Local Tourist Tax: €0.75/person 13yrs+/day (guide price)

Pets

Pets are allowed and will be charged €40/week (payable locally). A valid passport for your pet is compulsory.

Loan of extras

The loan of vacuum cleaners, iron and ironing board, board games and baby cots is possible (all subject to availability).

4 hours a day.

Arrival day at Hotel Residence Le Grand Tetras is Saturday or Sunday (Monday to Friday short stays available) 17:00 - 20:00 and Departure by 10:00.
